Season 3 Episode 9

WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD

This weeks True Blood was full of blood, tears, and general chaos.

Sookie and Bill appear to be officially back together after a steamy, but beautifully done sex scene last week and further consummated their bond int the shower (to many Team Eric fans displeasure). Sookie still seems wary to trust Bill completely and Bill, after a trip to what I like to call "Tinkerbell Pond", might have finally found out what Sookie, but we still have to wait to find out in what has be an extremely drawn out moment putting new meaning to "Waiting Sucks".

We saw another tender moment between Eric and Pam. Eric believing he might be killed be the A.V.L. for Russell's murder of the Magister, he comforts Pam at the possible loss of her maker. Though Eric lives, he's left with the task of killing Russell on his own.

Of course my jaw hit the floor at the return an abrupt death of Franklin by the hands, or should I say shotgun, of Jason. Oddly SAD to say I'll miss him from his awesome explicit texting skills to his insane, jealous, tear-filled rants.

The drama in Jason, Sam, Arlene, and Jessica's life continues to escalate, and Lafayette and Jesus's (La-sus?) budding romance continues to grow. Though the mysterious Holly is getting more and more intriguing it all seems lackluster in comparison with everything else, and with all these storylines somethings may get lost on us, the viewers.

But what really made my Fangs Pop this week was Russell Edgington's "spine tingling" performance on the news. After the death of his child and lover Talbot he seems to have jumped onto Franklin's crazy train. First rolling around in Talbot's remains then storing them in a candy dish! He then proceeded to kill a news anchor and go on a rant on live television that might have ruined Nan Flanagan and the vampire Authority's chances at passing the V.R.A. (Vampire Rights Amendment)

Now there may be to many storylines going on at once, but I trust Alan Ball and his writers to wrap it altogether in a bloody, raunchy, and fantastic ending. All in all this episode was still amazing and is apart of what may be the best True Blood season yet.
